Today I left to embark on a road trip from Michigan to Idaho.  My partner in crime, aka my mom, left Lansing around 6 pm, after picking up our rental car…a 4 door, snazzy red KIA with no cruise control.

We jammed out to old school Backstreet Boys (“I Want it That Way”), Christina Aguilera (“Genie in a Bottle”), O-Town, Disney songs, & other throw backs (one hit wonders all the way to future hit radio plays by the Specktators).  Funny how I can remember every word to old school Backstreet Boys songs, but I can barely remember what I did yesterday!

When we stopped once, my mom walked the dog with her makeshift leash…her cell phone charger.  Improvised.  Creative.  & it worked!

We stopped at a Super 8 hotel in a small city in Illinois called Le Claire.  Early morning tomorrow to hit the road & keep on our pace!
